Robin Long

Robin Long, B.B.A., C.A., M.Ed. Senior Associate

A talent management specialist, Robin Long has extensive experience in testing and executive assessments, career counselling and executive coaching. Working with both individuals and major corporations, she has completed psychometric assessments for senior executives, assisted hiring managers in making the right decisions for their companies, created development plans for existing talent, helping organizations find the right people and people find the right job match to enhance their personal and professional success.

Robin has led and managed a specialized pre employment testing and assessment centre for senior executives where she assessed their personality, motivational drives and aptitude for a wide range of clients. She has in-depth experience interpreting a variety of assessment instruments including the Occupational Personality Questionnaire, the NEO-PI, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and a wide variety of leading edge executive assessment and aptitude instruments.

In addition to traditional assessments, Robin has delivered seminars, led corporate retreats, and completed meta-analyses on an organization’s talent pool. She has experience working with a variety of different business sectors and has serviced a wide range of clients.

Prior to entering the professional Human Resources industry, Robin worked as a Chartered Accountant and has over a decade of business experience. Starting her career at Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) in 1988, she possesses an interesting mix of both a psychology and a business background. Drawing on her extensive business background in tandem with her psychology degrees, she began her dynamic career in the field of organizational psychology in 1999.

Robin obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration at Schulich School of Business and earned her Chartered Accountancy designation in 1990 while working with Price Waterhouse. She obtained an Honours Degree in Psychology from York University, followed by her Masters of Education degree (Counselling Psychology) at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (University of Toronto).
